This Shipping & Delivery Policy outlines our procedures, options, and expectations to ensure a smooth experience for our customers. Please read this policy carefully before placing your order. This policy is part of our Terms of Service.
Shipping Options
We partner with trusted carriers to deliver your orders safely and promptly. Our shipping options include:
- USPS (United States Postal Service): Ideal for standard shipments, offering affordable rates for domestic deliveries.
- UPS (United Parcel Service): Provides reliable ground and expedited services with excellent tracking capabilities.
- FedEx: Offers fast and secure delivery options, including overnight and 2-day shipping for time-sensitive orders.
During checkout, you can select your preferred carrier based on availability, cost, and estimated delivery time. Note that all our glassware is carefully packaged to prevent damage during transit, using protective materials suitable for fragile items.
Order Processing Time
Orders are typically processed within 1-2 business days after payment confirmation (excluding weekends and holidays). If your order is placed after 12:00 PM EST, it may be processed the next business day. We strive to ship your items as quickly as possible, but processing times may extend during peak seasons or promotions.
If we experience any delays in processing, we will notify you via email with an updated timeline.
Domestic Shipping (Within the United States)
We ship to all 50 states, including Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories.
- Standard Shipping: 3-7 business days, depending on your location and carrier selected. Free on orders over $50; otherwise, a flat fee of $7.95 applies.
- Expedited Shipping: 2-3 business days via UPS or FedEx. Additional fee of $14.95.
- Overnight Shipping: Next business day delivery via FedEx or UPS. Additional fee of $24.95 (not available for all locations).
Shipping times are estimates and do not include processing time. Deliveries may be affected by weather, holidays, or carrier delays. For Alaska, Hawaii, and territories, expect 5-10 business days for standard shipping with a flat fee of $25.
International Shipping
We offer international shipping to select countries, including Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and major European nations. Shipping times vary by destination:
- Canada: 7-10 business days.
- Other International: 10-21 business days.
International orders are shipped via USPS International, UPS, or FedEx, depending on the destination. Customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import fees. We ship on a Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU) basis, meaning these charges are not included in our shipping costs.
Please note: We cannot ship to PO boxes internationally, and some countries may have restrictions on glassware imports. Check your local regulations before ordering.
Shipping Costs
Shipping fees are calculated at checkout based on your order weight, dimensions, destination, and selected carrier. We offer:
- Competitive rates for expedited and international options.
For fragile glassware, we may add minimal packaging fees to ensure safe delivery, but these are included in the quoted shipping cost.
Tracking Your Order
Once your order ships, you will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number and link. You can track your package directly on the carrier’s website (USPS, UPS, or FedEx). If you have any issues with tracking, contact our customer support.
Damaged, Lost, or Missing Packages
Due to the fragile nature of our glassware, we take extra care in packaging. However, if your order arrives damaged:
- Contact us within 48 hours of delivery at support@burns-glass.com with photos of the damage.
- We offer free replacements or refunds for damaged items, subject to our Returns Policy.
For lost or missing packages, we will work with the carrier to investigate. Optional shipping insurance is available at checkout via Route Package Protection for added coverage against loss, theft, or damage.
Order Changes and Cancellations
If you need to change or cancel your order, contact us immediately at support@burns-glass.com. Changes are not possible once the order has been processed and shipped.
Holiday Shipping and Delays
During peak holiday seasons, shipping times may be longer due to high volume. We recommend ordering early to ensure timely delivery. For Christmas deliveries:
- Standard domestic: Order by December 10th.
- Expedited: Order by December 18th.
- International: Order by November 25th.
We will communicate any known delays via email.
